At the Rotary Club of Hamilton, our motto is "Service Above Self." While that service often takes us into the streets for cleanups or into local schools for mentoring, some of our most significant impact happens through the Community Grant Awards. This year, we are thrilled to announce that we have awarded $11,000 to four incredible local initiatives.
Where the Impact Goes: This Year’s Grant Recipients
We focused our 2026 funding on youth development, education, and emotional well-being. By supporting these diverse projects, we aim to remove barriers and provide memorable experiences for Hamilton’s children.
Empowering Youth: BTW Camp Project
The largest portion of this year's grant ($4,000) went to the BTW Camp Project. These funds provided students with a day of discovery at the Zoo and helped fuel the high-energy activities at their recent Back-to-School Bash. It’s about more than just fun; it’s about starting the school year with confidence and a sense of community.
Cultivating Culture: The Fitton Center
We believe every child should experience the magic of the arts. Our $3,000 grant ensures that every 2nd grader in the Hamilton City School District gets to visit the Fitton Center to see a live professional performance. For many students, this is their first introduction to the world of theater and live music.
Supporting Success: Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Club is a cornerstone of support for Hamilton families. Our $3,000 contribution went directly toward student resources, ensuring that after-school hours are spent in a productive environment equipped with the tools kids need to succeed in their studies.
Comfort in the Classroom: Pawsitive Connections
In a unique partnership with Leadership Hamilton Class 33, we awarded $1,000 to Pawsitive Connections. This program supports facility dogs within the Hamilton School District. These highly trained dogs provide emotional support, reduce anxiety, and help create a calming environment for students who may be struggling.
Want to Get Involved?
The Rotary Club of Hamilton is always looking for community-minded individuals who want to make a difference. Whether it's through our grant program or our weekly service projects, there is a place for you here.
